Description: | American Technical Associates, Inc. (ATA ) a Knoxville, TN based Technical staffing/search firm, is recruiting for the following long-term temporary, possible temp-to-perm positions for a Knoxville area company;
Electrical/Instrumentation Technicians
Job description:
Interested job applicants must be able to work a rotating twelve hour shift in a team environment. Applicant must also be self motivated and capable of working independently. The job responsibilities will include the electrical maintenance and installations all circuits, motors, starters, VFD’s, MCC’s, panel boards and other associated equipment. Motors range from 3hp – 350hp. AC Voltages include 12470v, 4160v, 480v, 277v, 208v and120v.
Responsibilities will also include all maintenance and installation of all instrumentation. Instruments include level, pressure, temperature, flow and analytical switches and transmitters of varying technologies. The maintenance and installation of all automated valves, which will include butterfly, globe, plug and ball valves, along with all analog positioners or limit switch package’s are included in the daily responsibilities. A 24vdc control system consisting of multiple AB controllogix processors as well as remote I\O cabinets and associated network cables and equipment will also be maintained.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade or 2 years of college in an associated electrical/electronic field of study along with 1 year of practical work experience. Maintenance experience is preferred but is not required. Knowledge of electrical codes as they pertain to the NEC as well as conduit bending and installation experience is helpful. An Instrumentation background is a plus.
