Description: | American Technical Associates, Inc., (ATA), a Knoxville, TN based technical staffing/search firm, is recruiting for the following contract position, possibly contract-to-perm, in the Knoxville, TN area.
Systems Administrator
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB Assist users with day-to-day usage of MIS resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Critical features of this job are described below. They may bbe subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
Maintains computing environment by identifying system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance.
Desired Qualifications/Experience
§ MCSE
§ Minimum of five years applicable work experience or commensurate educational competency.
§ BA/BS or commensurate level of knowledge and experience. Degree preferred.
§ Expert knowledge of personal computers and their peripherals.
§ Strong competency working with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, wireless networks, and CAT5 cabling.
§ Competency with Cisco IOS.
§ Competency with wireless networking.
§ Competency working with PBX and related telephony equipment.
§ Competency working with desktop operating systems including XP, Windows 7, and Linux.
§ Competency working with common server applications such as email, web filtering, backup servers, MRO and various server based packages.
§ Competency working with printers, print servers, plotters and plot queues
